i gave up smoking on friday nite. i had a good cough ystdy, do u think ive pulled on the gland??. it hurts wen i touch it.it hasnt got any bigger. im really worried.

Is it behind your ear lobe!! Probably just an enlarged gland. if you are feeling feverish these will become enlarged. Nothing to worry about, they will go down in a few days!!
You should see a doctor.
Is the center red? Is there pus? It could be an infected pimple, or a spider bite.
It's probably a swollen lymph node related to your cough. The lymph system helps fight infection. Give it a couple of days and see if it gets better. Drink plenty of water and rest if you can. If it's still sore in a week, you should see a doctor.
Maybe it's your brain in an attempt to escape an otherwise empty head.
maybe it is a mosquito bite, if not you should go to a doctor
it could be a number of things..most likely a boil , they hurt real bad!! if it is worrying you so much i think you should go to the doctor to get peace of mind :) dont worry to much tho hun
It could be a swollen gland. Your body is going nuts right now from the lack of nicotine. My dad recently gave up smoking and had something similar to this under his arm near his arm pit. There are glands there too as well. You might also be coming own with a cold...the cold may have nothing to do with smoking and it could be because you immune system is changing due to the lack of smoking...it had to learn to work all over again. It's as if your body is purging. It's along weekend though. If it's not gone by Tuesday or Wednesday I'd call your doctor even if it's not any bigger. He might be able to better help you...plus it's always good to let your doctor know that you're doing something this good for your body. Maybe you're allergic to the gums or patches? (unless you're using cold turkey.)
It could be a spot? or something a bit more serious, see your GP.

i dont think youve pulled anything-it sounds like an infected gland-maybe your coughing is due to an infection and nothing to do with giving up smoking-see your gp to put your mind at rest x
it could be that u have a rock in ur sliva gland u can try to milk it out. { push it towards ur noise} it may take awhile if it hurts to bad to do this go to doc. if u think it may be something else u can try to take Ibeprofen that may help a little take 800mg.
It sounds like a pimple possibly, my husband gets them there every now and again,
