I went to the chiropractor and he told me one of my legs is longer than other. do they tell this to everyone?

when discussing this with other friends i found out that they were all told the same thing on seperate ocassions. is this just a scam they tell everyone?
Answer:
Everyone has irregularities in the length of their arms and legs...it really is true; no one is perfect. The chiropractor really wasn't concerned about the fact that your legs are different lengths, but he was concerned with what it tells him. Chiropractors check your leg length, because it tells them where they need to adjust. Short on a particular side means there is a misalignment in the spine. The amount shortness (or longness, if you are a glass half full kind of guy) tells the doctor where and how much the spine is misaligned. When your spine is balanced, your leg length should be even.Chiropractors aren't scam artists. Ok, maybe there are a few, but show me a profession that doesn't have their share of crooks. However, most of the chiropractors I know ( And I know a bunch of them) are kind, caring and honorable individuals with a passion for helping their patients live lives with the optimum of health.
I think they only say that to a specific group of people (people who have one leg longer than the other)!
It is very common for someone to have 1 leg longer than the other. Its when 1 leg is more than 1/4 inch longer or if 1 leg is longer when sitting with legs straight out but not when lying flat on your back that there could be a problem. Ask the chiro to clarify the findings. The chiro cannot fix a problem when 1 leg is always longer than the other. If 1 leg is longer when sitting vs lying then its a sign that your pelvis is out of alignment.
i've been told the same thing. i think it's just a pretty common thing for one to be slightly longer than the other
Its really not uncommon to have one leg longer than the other...it just may give some people some problems. try a shoe insert with an arch or extra cusion to make up for the difference. I don't think he's trying to scam you unless he wants you to buy things you don't need. Ask for a second opinion if you like, otherwise, it could be true.
most people actually have one leg longer than the other. it's normal for the difference in length to be about 1/4" or so. it's usually caused by your dominant side being more active, so that side is contracted more, making it seem like it's shorter.
no, it's not a scam. it is however very common to have one leg longer than the other.
It could be that the people they tell it to do have one leg longer than the other. Mine told me that.
That's so funny that you ask this question. I've been wondering about this too. About 5 years ago when I went to see my chiropractor for treatments, she told me the same thing. But her reason for it was that at the time my daughter was really young, and I would carry her on my hip, and that's what caused it. Hey, I've heard that our one foot is bigger then the other.i guess the same rule applies to our legs, lol.
most people have one leg slightly longer than the other usually on your dominant side. that is why if your are lost with out Land marks you will tend to walk in circles
umm actually everyone has body parts that are longer or bigger than the rest. they are just supposed to tell you. if its a drastic difference then they will tell you wha will happen from there.
