If you get in a chlorinated pool does poison ivy spread to the other pep.?

I forgot to ask but I need to know. Thanks
Answer:
Only if you still have urushiol (the chemical in the plant's sap that causes the rash) on your skin. If you've washed all the poison ivy oil off your skin then, no, other people won't get it. The fluid that oozes from the blisters does NOT spread the rash.
No. Poison ivy is passed by touching the person, the clothing or bedding etc. of the infected person when the sores are still weeping.
It does not. It can transfer from your skin to things like the inside of your shoes or sometimes your clothes because it is a light oil and mixes with the top layer of your skin cells. But you need friction from whatever you touch to transfer the poison ivy to your skin. You won't get it from pool water.
Whenever you have an infection, open cuts, or a rash like poison ivy, you should avoid pools that others are using. If only for the comfort of your friends peace of mind. Would you want to see someone with poison ivy going into your pool?
if you want to get rid of that walk around and look for a plant that grows in a bunch its short fat leafs 6/8 inches high grows in a lot of yards in the south anyway after finding the plant take the leafs and rub in your hand til it releases some sap wish i knew the name of this plant . or had a pic but it works better than anything ive ever brought at any store. oh beach will dry it up but it also burn the skin too... it will only spead to other people if they touch what you touch ... oh i went and took a pic if you really want to know how to get rid of it let me know
if you've washed off thoroughly, then there is nothing to spread. the rash keeps spreading on you because of your body's reaction to the initial exposure. i personally would not get into a chlorinated pool, or swim at all, with poison ivy because it needs to dry out. you will prolong the rash by swimming and could cause infection. i get poison ivy several times each year really bad and have had some seriously bad infections from it. i'm not being all paranoid and bossy, but i really would wait until it was clear before getting into water.
The fluid from the plant is an oil. So it could float across the top of the water.
