If someone is a recovering Heroine addict should the take hydrocodone?

Answer:
nope. it is advisable for the heroine addict addict to stay away from any opiates, synthetic or not.these drugs bind with the same receptors as heroine and in turn the recovering addict becomes an addict once again and must "kick" all over again.if there is a need for some heavy duty pain killers it is advisable the patient be hospitalized and monitored by heath care professionals.when a recovering drug addict has mild to moderate pain it is good to take an antiinflammitory such as aspirin, Motrin, toroidal and the like.
That's a tough one. On one hand, no. On the other - if there is pain and someone else is controlling the meds, maybe. The patient needs to be clear with their doc that they are a recovering heroin addict.
I would not. Vicodin is very addictive. There are other medications that are not so addictive. I'm a firm believer in finding the source of the pain and fixing it. If it is a back problem, there are other medications beside pain medications that can help. Do you see what I mean?
No. Avoid this type of drug.
NO! I have felt the addictive power of this drug and would strongly urge you to seek another, less addictive, alternative.
